I hesitate to put this movie in the horror section because as much as the hauntedness of the house is implied, no real
ghosts are ever actually seen in the movie. The original version of House on Haunted Hill is actually more of a whodunnit
movie. Nonetheless, this film is still good fun. The characters deliver their lines clean, the pacing is just
right, and Vincent Price is his usual ghoulishly delightful self. The only problem I had with the film was that just
when I thought there was going to be even more to the movie, it ends rather abruptly. Still, this movie is a good time
waster, and certain images make this being in the horror section not completely out of place. Grade: B
